Mental Strength Training
Mental Strength is an ability to handle mistakes, poor outcomes and failure with little or no loss in competitive edge.
- GAIN Confidence.
- HANDLE Failure and Adversity.
- IMPROVE Commitment and Attitude.
Effective for all sports. Coach McGannon has worked with players from the following sports: basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, football, golf, volleyball, track, hockey, lacrosse, tennis, bowling, tennis, fencing, figure skating, gymnastics.
Each training starts with an assessment which is broken down into three categories:
- Confidence
- Handling Failure
- Commitment/Attitude
A player’s or program’s relative strengths and weaknesses become evident after the assessment is taken. Coach McGannon will then discuss the PRINCIPLES of mental strength and provide actual TOOLS for handling weaknesses in EACH CATEGORY.
NOTE: this training is effective because the assessment is a springboard to how and why the player is thinking the way they are. Competitive growth by understanding and mastering the tools of mental strength is universally seen.
